Privacy
Your audio is never saved. Recordings stay in memory only long enough to be transcribed, then are discarded · even if something fails.
Transcripts are never saved either. They're used once to score your session. You can read your transcript on the results page right after the session; it is kept only in that browser tab and is gone when you close it.
What we keep: your scores, speaking stats (like words per minute), topic names, short feedback summaries, XP and streaks.
External AI processing: to transcribe and score your speech, audio and text are sent to an external AI provider. Their data-handling policies apply to that processing.
You can delete any session from your history at any time, download all your stored data, or delete your account in Settings → Privacy & data. If you cannot sign in, email us and we will help.
AI feedback: scores and coaching are generated automatically by AI models (OpenAI, accessed through our hosting provider's AI service) and may be inaccurate. "Confidence" describes observable delivery such as pace, pauses and filler words, not your emotions or personality. Offscript does not use emotion recognition or biometric identification.
Who is responsible
Claes Kjeldsmark provides Offscript and is the data controller for account and practice information. For privacy requests, contact hello@meetoffscript.com.
Data and purposes
We process your email, display name, account identifier, protected login credentials and timezone to create and secure your account. Scores, derived speaking metrics, feedback, XP and streaks provide practice history and coaching. Subscription identifiers and status enable your paid plan. Support messages are used to respond to requests. Technical information such as IP addresses, browser information and error logs may be processed for security and troubleshooting. Guest trials use an expiring token and browser identifier to limit repeat trials.
Our legal bases are contract performance for accounts, coaching and subscriptions; legitimate interests for security, fraud prevention and necessary troubleshooting; legal obligations for records we must keep; and consent where required for optional processing.
Sharing and international processing
Hosting, authentication and AI service providers process data to run Offscript. Paddle receives purchase-related information as Merchant of Record for subscriptions, payments, taxes and invoices, under its own privacy notice. Information may also be shared with professional advisers or authorities where legally required. Providers may process data outside your country, including outside the UK or EEA. Where required, transfers must rely on safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Retention and security
Account and derived practice data are retained while needed to provide your account and history. Deleted sessions are removed from active history. Account records, support messages and technical logs are deleted or anonymized when no longer needed, except records required for legal, security or dispute purposes. Provider backup retention may apply. Offscript does not persist raw audio or transcripts; external AI processing is subject to provider retention policies. We use access controls, encrypted connections and protected credentials, but no system is completely secure.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing, and withdraw consent without affecting prior lawful processing. UK and EEA users may complain to their supervisory authority; in Denmark this is Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.dk). Offscript is intended for adults 18 and over. Contact Claes Kjeldsmark to exercise these rights; GDPR requests are normally answered within one month, with lawful extensions explained where needed.
Cookies and browser storage
Essential cookies and browser storage support sign-in, security, theme preferences, guest-trial limits and completion of the welcome guide. Paddle may use storage needed for checkout and fraud prevention. No optional analytics or marketing cookies are introduced by this notice. You can clear or block storage in your browser, but sign-in, checkout and remembered preferences may stop working.
